Black Bear Sightings
The Waunakee Police
Department has received several reports of bear sightings in the village. The
Wisconsin DNR has been contacted about the sightings. The DNR states the bear’s
activities are normal for this time of year, as the black bear population in
Wisconsin is expanding and bears are continually moving further south. The
following links to the WI DNR’s website provide more information on black bear
sightings.
