Absentee Ballot Information

All registered voters may visit MyVote Wisconsin and click "Vote Absentee" to request their absentee ballot. This request must be made no later than 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday before the election in order for an absentee ballot to be sent to you.

Please be aware there is no guarantee that a ballot will arrive before Election Day if the absentee ballot request is submitted the week prior to the election.

An acceptable photo ID must accompany your application if not previously submitted. Selfies are not an acceptable form of ID.

The absentee ballot must be returned no later than 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. The following are options for returning a ballot:

  1. Mail it back in the postage-paid envelope.
  2. Drop it off at the clerk’s office at Westport Town Hall. You may only return your own ballot.
  3. Drop it off at the polling location by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.

The United States Postal Service recommends mailing your ballot at least one week before Election Day. Returning a ballot from overseas may take longer. Voters can check the status of their ballot by visiting MyVote Wisconsin.

Absentee ballots may not be returned by email or fax.
